Teeth bleaching is the most common cosmetic dental procedure. This treatment recommended procedures for brightening discolored teeth. Aging process and a lifestyle can stain and darken teeth. Many things can contribute to stained teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea, and smoking. There are two methods for brightening teeth, in office bleaching (using laser teeth bleaching) and at-home teeth bleaching (using take-home bleaching tray). In office bleaching is a good method for sensitive teeth, because the process may be closely watched by dentist. In case you already have veneers, or crowns teeth bleaching won’t act on these and you need to have a look at replacements.
Labial veneer is a thin layer of restoration placed over a tooth surface, to improve the aesthetics appearance, or to protect a damaged tooth surface. There are two types of material used to make a veneer, composite and porcelain. A composite veneer may be directly placed and built-up in the mouth, or indirectly fabricated (porcelain veneer) in a dental lab, and later bonded to the tooth. Porcelain veneer is a stronger, more natural looking and durable alternative than composite veneer. Composites are also more prone to staining and do not last as long as porcelain veneers. Composite ideal for small cracks and chips.
Porcelain inlays refer to indirect fillings made of porcelain that fit into the affected tooth that have decay or damage lying within their indented top surfaces. Its purpose is to make the tooth stronger by holding it together while retaining a natural esthetically pleasing colour. They are used in instances when there is deficient tooth structure to support a filling but the tooth is still in a condition that does not require a crown. Tooth colored porcelain inlay offer much more enduring and natural-looking results than metal fillings.
Zirconia crown provides a translucency and create a vitality similar to natural teeth. Since Cercon all-ceramic restorations require no metal framework, this offers a great esthetic. Due to its stability and strength, it can be milled very thin, allowing for translucency through its core which provides the basis for a very natural looking restoration. Cercon Zirconia restorations can be prescribed for a wide range of indications, including posterior long-span and inlay bridges, while offering performance results comparable to the clinical standard of porcelain-fused-to-metal.
